DAY 10 - Highlights of all the SA Paralympians in Rio

Events and results for Day 10 of the Rio Paralympics.

On the 10th and final day of Paralympic competition in Rio there was 3 athletes from SASI competing with 1 on the road and 2 in the pool.

Kieran Modra competed in the Men’s Road Race B finishing in 5th place, 42 seconds behind the winner. This was Kieran’s 3rd and final race of these Paralympic Games rounding out a spectacular performance for the 44 year old. He finished in the top 6 for all his events including the Bronze he won 3 days earlier in the Time Trial.

Jesse Aungles raced his 4th and final event, the Men’s 200m Individual Medley SM8. Jesse finished 3rd in his heat ensuring that he progressed to the final in all 4 of his events. In the final Jesse bettered his time in the heat by 2.66 seconds finishing in 6th place.

Liam Bekric was knocked out in the heats of the Men’s 100m Backstroke by less than 1 second after finishing 5th in his heat. His time was enough to give him 9th place overall.
