Olympic spots up for grabs at West Lakes

Final chance to qualify Olympic quota places for Australia at the Oceania Championships

This weekend, the best paddlers from Oceania and around the world will battle it out on West Lakes at the Oceania Championships. This event is not only the last chance to qualify some boats for Rio but also the first of up to 3 team selection events.

Athletes to watch for are Catherine McArthur, Callum Dunn, Matthew Goble and Tim Symonds. Catherine will be pushing for qualification and selection with her Western Australian partner Jamie Roberts in the Women's K2 500m with the final being held at 9:00am on Saturday morning.

Callum, Matthew and Tim will all be battling it out in the splash and dash K1 and K2 200m races which always come down to the finest of margins. K1 and K2 200m finals are on at 9:45am Saturday and 1:00pm Sunday respectively.
