Australian Sports Commission Restorative Program

SASI StatementAs a member of the National Institute Network, the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) welcomes today’s launch of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) Restorative Program.

SASI stands with the ASC in saying that abuse of any nature has no place in Australian sport.

Having services available which ensures athletes are heard and supported will positively impact the culture of sport now and in the future. It is crucial that past issues are addressed and best practices are put in place going forward.

If you are a current/former SASI athlete, we encourage you to have your say on your experience with SASI. Family members, coaches and staff are also invited to provide any feedback that will help us to improve our high-performance services and environments, and our athletes’ wellbeing and experience.

You can provide your feedback by:

Alternatively, you can utilise the AIS Be Heard support service. AIS Be Heard is the place anyone in Australian high-performance sport - past or present - can turn to for help.
